Note: When the wind is very, very strong, gusting hurricane strength, the wind is called the "Gropada encesa de …" followed by the corresponding wind name (eg. Tramutana.) When the wind is weak (slack) and from a variable direction, it is called "Bafa perdudua." At the beginning of Summer when the Mestral arrives steaming hot it is referred to as the "Cremador" or the "Sant Joan de França."
